I’m in the love business. It’s always an honor and a privilege to photographs a couples union. Typically it’s a time when family and friends come together to celebrate the union of a young couple just starting out in their life together. Occasionally, I get the opportunity to photograph second marriages which have a completely differently feel than first marriages. Bobbie and Mike are my neighbors. Our children go to school together, but I did not meet them until our school’s gala when they purchased one of my photography packages. But that night I found out that they were in fact a couple but not married. They had children together and were married but got a divorce and were on a “date” the
night of the gala.
Fast forward 6 months later I get a call from Bobbie that they are getting married and they want me to shoot family engagement session and their wedding at Hotel ZaZa on 11.11.11. When I met with Bobbie I heard the most amazing love story I have ever heard and their wedding and vows reflected their journey.
After the ceremony, I said jokingly to they should have given Kleenex as party favors. I have never been to a wedding were there was not a dry eye in the house. Their vows were just amazingly beautiful and when their daughter began to cry tears of joy everyone else joined in. I feel a special connection to Bobbie and Mike now that I have witness their most sacred moment of exchanging of vows.
Their wedding, the sit down dinner and the party to follow was nothing less than spectacular. Enjoy the sneak peek of this most lovely event at Hotel Zaza Houston.
